Once upon a time…

           There were “S’ard” in the Ancient Land of Sardinia. S’ard in our ancient language means “the Dancers of the Stars”… It’s a strange image of us, the Sards, a people so closed, so austere, so strict but in the secret of our profound nature, we were born “dancers” … on a magic Land.

How can we evoke with words, the pride that we feel to be born on a Land such as Sardinia…

Her history,

she owes the origin of her Dancers of the Stars- free on a free land- to the Phoenicians, to the Punic, through to the Aragonese fought and chased out by our great Eleonora D’Arborea, the only Queen amongst so many Kings of Italy.

Her magic, her popular traditions, her feasts, her music, her dances, her songs, her jewels, her culinary art, her own language.

It’s the happy Island of a proud people, closed, timid, that listens and doesn’t speak, who knows and recognizes the purity of the spirit of others, with the reserve of the first moments and progressively an opening of the heart.

It’s the Land of honesty, of the respect of oneself, of what belongs to us and what does not…
